Wow!! I did not realize how hard my hay fever had really hit me. I was able to get in 4.25 mile run on Friday morning. It was about 15 seconds per mile slower than normal and it HURT. However, I did feel much better the rest of the day.
I got out on the bike this morning. I did an what I thought was an easy 20 miles this morning. Based on my time it should have been real easy-- 1:17:22. However, my HR was up over 160. Damn thats not good.
Tomorrow me and my running buddy are going to do an hour or so running. Isn't it sad, when your long run is only an hour? Lets see how I feel tomorrow. Hopefully, everything will start to come back.
Ray was that you I passed at the airport? If it wasn't you have a twin.

Bummer about the allergies. Don't stress too much about 'long' runs 'only' being an hour...that still is great that you are getting out there even though you feel bad with all the hay fever stuff. Maybe switch allergy medications? But I know some allergies are untouchable either way. Hang in there and hope for some rain!
Ha! That was me! I thought that was you, and thought you said my name - but wasn't quite sure. It was an akward moment with a double-walker-pass occuring. Plus, I was in a weird mental state given it was around mile 13 or so of an 18+ mile run.
Don't worry about the HR's this morning - mine was all jacked up too given the hot and humid weather (ok, not by summer comparisons, but it was the first 'humid/hot' day of the year).
I hope you're feeling better. Allergies are annoying.
An hour long "long" run can be the best kind. Good quality miles.
Dang! It sounds like everyone is coming over to my blog and borrowing some allergies. The Walgreen's fix is Zyrtec and Musinex as a decongestant.
keep plugging along...you'll come out of it.,....
i am very fortunate to not get hit by allergies..
good luck
and soon it will be your short run...
